Dons in for a bumpy ride, says Dickov

ATHLETIC boss Paul Dickov reckons MK Dons will face a difficult battle on Saturday.
Though visiting manager Karl Robinson has said he will rest players ahead of the club’s upcoming npower League One play-off campaign, a defeat at Boundary Park could leave the team dropping to sixth spot in the table — and that would mean facing Huddersfield Town, unbeaten in 24 matches, in a two-legged tie.
“It is a test every week,” said Dickov, who fielded a young side in the 2-0 win at Swindon.
“You only have to look at some of the results to see that, after 45 games, anybody can beat anybody else in this division.
“It was a difficult game for us at their place and we know that it will be again here.”
Southampton won 3-1 at Plymouth
yesterday to all-but ensure they will claim the second automatic promotion spot ahead of Huddersfield.
Rickie Lambert (two) and Ryan Dickson scored Saints’ goals, Yannick Bolasie responding for the Pilgrims, who are now relegated to League Two.
On-loan Athletic midfielder Dale Stephens played the full 90 minutes for Southampton.
