SKIPPER Reuben Hazell is set to miss Athletic's final game of the season at home to MK Dons.
The centre-back, who is out of contract in the summer, has had injections in his knee in a bid to overcome medial ligament damage that has ruled him out of the last four matches.
But it appears likely that he won't be fit in time for Saturday, leaving the heart of defence manned by a likely duo of James Tarkowski and Jean-Yves Mvoto.
The latter of that pair had four stitches in a head wound in the 2-0 win at Swindon last week, but emerged back on to the field after treatment.
Manager Paul Dickov has three further doubts as Athletic welcome Carl Robinson's side, who have qualified for the npower League One play-offs, to Boundary Park.
Currently on the treatment table are Cedric Evina (ankle), Reuben Hazell (knee) and Kieran Lee (hamstring).
Paul Black isn't expected to play as he is recovering from minor surgery to his abdomen, while Filipe Morais and Kirk Millar are both suspended.
ATHLETIC won't take on Manchester City's reserves tonight as a result of the Premier League club not being able to raise a side.
The Manchester Senior Cup-tie was due to be played at Stalybridge. But as the FA Premier League ruled City's reserves have to play Chelsea tomorrow, the Eastlands club said it wasn't possible to play out two matches in as many days.
