Oldham Athletic’s new crest

THE STRIKING design of Athletic's new club crest has caused a stir among the club's internet community.

While some have come out in favour of the motif, unveiled at last week's annual presentation dinner after a long build-up — one fan Tweeted to state: "I think the new crest is a good 'un.. we should be grateful we are still around to have one" — others have slammed it.

A Facebook group has been set up to campaign to keep the existing design, with one comment on the page stating: "Looks tacky, should keep the old badge".
