Praise for Reid

ATHLETIC manager Paul Dickov has praised striker Reuben Reid for taking a pay-cut in order to stay at Boundary Park for another season.
The club had decided not to exercise the option to keep Reid due to financial constraints.
However, the 22-year-old told Athletic he wanted to stay even if it meant his wallet taking a hit.
Dickov said: “It shows Reuben’s commitment that he wants to be here next season.
“Reuben took a pay cut to join us from West Brom and is now taking a further cut to stay.”
The Scot has tipped Reid — who only netted twice after his January arrival from West Brom — to come good next term.
He added: “We have only seen little glimpses, but I am sure we will see a different player once he has had the benefit of a full pre-season with us.”
