Smalley leaves Latics
Date published: 27 May 2011
LATICS striker Dean Smalley has left the club.
Smalley (24), who spent most of the season out on loan - first at Rochdale and then Chesterfield - has agreed a deal to join Oxford United.
His two-year contract with the Division Two side sees him sever links with Boundary Park. His contract would have been up in June.
Latics will receive an undisclosed compensation payment for the player because he is under 24.
Smalley scored 11 goals in his time at Latics since a debut in 2007.
