JAMES Wesolowski has signed for Athletic on a one-year deal.
The 23-year-old midfielder, a free agent, had been at Peterborough United and scored his side’s opening goal in a 5-2 win over Athletic at London Road last season.
Sydney-born Wesolowski has a Polish passport and started his career at Leicester City, making 46 league appearances for the Foxes before moving to Peterborough for an undisclosed fee a year ago.
He made 39 league and cup appearances in 2010-11, helping Posh gain promotion through the npower League One play-offs.
Wesolowski is eligible to make his debut for Athletic in tomorrow's Carling Cup first round game at home to Carlisle United (7.45pm).
