SIGNING two new players this week has given the whole club a big boost.

Tom Adeyemi is young, big, strong and enthusiastic — a box-to-box player.

It is no secret that we had been looking for a striker for some time now and I am sure people will look at Shefki Kuqi and think, 'how have they got him'?

Shefki is an all-round centre-forward who will hold the ball up for us and bring others into play as well as chipping in with goals.

I believe the pair of them will have a big impact for us.

We started poorly at Colchester and it has to be said that on the day, they were far and away the better team.

Even though we got back into the game with Reuben Reid's penalty — and even despite the contentious penalty that was given against us — we got what we deserved.

Certain players simply didn't do what they were supposed to during the game. Colchester were a big, physical side, especially in the midfield area.

And mentally, we were weak. Too many players weren't at the races and it is hard for us to know why. There are no excuses, though.

What is needed now is a reaction from the players. It is easy to feel gloomy, but we have to be stronger than that.

Huddersfield tomorrow is something of a derby and they will certainly bring a few fans with them over the Pennines.

It will be a good atmosphere at Boundary Park and with the squad they have got, it will be a test for us.

At the same time, we strongly believe it will be just as much of a test for them.
