PAUL Dickov has distanced himself from the vacant manager’s position at his former club Leicester City.
The Athletic boss played for the Foxes from 2002 to 2004 and for another two-year spell, which ended at the start of last year.
Now cash-rich and hoping for promotion from the npower Championship, Leicester dispensed with the services of Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Dickov said: “My name has been chucked in to the list of people mentioned in connection with the role but that has nothing to do with me.
“I love my job, the fans, the players — everything about it.”
Dickov guided Athletic to 17th place in League One last term and they currently sit in 12th position.
