ATHLETIC have pulled off a transfer coup by snapping up Andreas Mancini and Luca Scapuzzi from Manchester City.
Mancini — son of Blues boss Roberto — arrives at Boundary Park on a one-month emergency loan, while Scapuzzi has moved on a two-month deal.
The paperwork has been completed and Athletic are now awaiting clearance from the Barclays Premier League, Football League and FA.
Both players are expected to be available for selection for Saturday’s npower League One derby clash with Bury.
The Italian duo add flair to a side already finding goals easy to come by.
Mancini (19) can operate across the midfield or up front while Scapuzzi (20) — who scored his first senior goal for City in the 5-2 Carling Cup win at Wolves last week — is a striker.
