Latics: game off

Date published: 10 February 2012

ATHLETIC’S clash against Brentford tomorrow is another victim of the continuing freezing weather.

Overnight snow and a continuation of recent freezing temperatures have left the Griffin Park surface unplayable. The pitch was inspected at 10.30am.

This is the third successive postponement for Athletic, following the home fixture against Leyton Orient and the night game at Stevenage earlier this week.

Paul Dickov's men have had only one game in the last 20 days and face the headache of fitting yet another midweek game into a tight schedule.

Athletic are due to face Walsall on Tuesday night at Boundary Park (7.45pm kick-off).
