Rush for tickets
Date published: 28 February 2012
ATHLETIC officials are expecting a late rush for ‘Golden Tickets’ ahead of tonight’s game.
Business was brisk yesterday as fans took advantage of the offer which allows entry for five upcoming fixtures at Boundary Park — Colchester, Scunthorpe, Yeovil, Bournemouth and Leyton Orient — for £15.
Around 1,400 special tickets have been sold already and many more are expected to be snapped up today.
The idea is to bring back stay-away fans and improve the matchday atmosphere, across a period in which Athletic have it within their hands to rise up the npower League One table substantially.
‘Golden Tickets’ will be available on the turnstiles at the Chaddy Road End and Rochdale Road End of the ground before tonight’s game.
