Dickov: It feels like a defeat

ATHLETIC manager Paul Dickov was left deflated after his side conceded a late equaliser in the first of five ‘Golden Ticket’ matches.
Given the cheap admission promotion, the crowd figure on the night of 3,956 represented a slightly disappointing return.
But Colchester brought with them only 61 of that number and it still represented progress on the last midweek home attendance of 2,583 against Walsall two weeks ago.
“It is another point on board and another game without defeat at home in the league,” Dickov said, pointing to a run of two wins and three draws in the last five npower League One games at Boundary Park.
“Once we sit back, reflect and watch the game again then I might have a different view on it.
“But it feels like a defeat. The fans turned out and we desperately wanted to get a victory for them.”
