Golden Tickets boost attendance

CHIEF executive Neil Joy was pleased with the response from fans to the 'Golden Ticket' initiative against Scunthorpe.
The attendance of 4,376 against The Iron incorporated 2,299 specially-priced tickets which enable supporters to see five games for £15.
"We are delighted with sales and interest in the 'Golden Ticket' from within the borough has been tremendous and vindicated our decision to make this offer to fans," Joy said.
Chairman Simon Corney had watched in dismay as only 2,583 fans rolled up for a midweek home game against Walsall three weeks ago, sparking the move in an attempt to increase crowds.
Golden Tickets are still available and at a price of £15, work out at £5 a game for the next three home fixtures.
Athletic face Yeovil on Saturday and then Bournemouth (March 24) and Leyton Orient (March 27).
