Latics ask for support as season tickets discount deadline looms
ATHLETIC fans can this week make a difference to the club’s prospects for next season.
The deadline for discounted season tickets is noon on Friday.
Sales have risen significantly over the past few days and with prices unchanged since 2007-08, the hope is the trend will continue up to the cut-off point.
The more cash that arrives as the ticket office at Boundary Park, the more will be apportioned to the arsenal of manager Paul Dickov as he bids to again improve on the club’s placing in npower League One.
“Sales rose significantly yesterday,” said Athletic chief executive Neil Joy, “And we managed to sell over 300.
“That is certainly more than we have sold in a single day for the past three or four years.
Athletic have been linked with a swoop for free-scoring Altrincham striker Damien Reeves.

ADULT season tickets in the Main Stand Upper costs £328 if bought before noon on Friday, May 11, which equates to £14.26 per match compared to £20 which will be the matchday admission. The price after that date reverts to £399 which is £17.35 per match.
A discounted adult season ticket in the Rochdale Road Stand costs £308 which is £13.39 per match. It later rises to £379 which is £16.48 per game.
In the Chaddy End, a discounted adult ticket is £328 which is £14.26 per match. It becomes £399 (£17.35) after noon on Friday.
Athletic have scrapped the match-category status for 2012-13 and prices will revert to £20 for adults and £10 concessions for the Main Stand Upper, Chaddy End and Rochdale Road Stand. In the Main Stand Lower, admission prices will be £19 and £9 respectively. Juniors behind both goals will be £5.
