ATHLETIC have been linked with a free transfer move for Aldershot goalkeeper Jamie Young.
The 26-year-old impressed for the npower League Two outfit during the final three months of last season, when he deputised for injured number one Ross Worner.
He has made it clear to the Shots that he was unwilling to warm the substitute’s bench again next season when Worner returns. The feeling at the club is that he will look elsewhere
Alex Cisak, Athletic’s first-choice shot-stopper, is rumoured to be the subject of a £350,000 bid from Peterborough United and strong interest from Watford.
But Latics chief Neil Joy said: “I am not aware of anything that is happening with Alex at the moment. I don’t talk about specific cases until deals are done.”
