New stand talks soon

ATHLETIC chairman Simon Corney has said a public consultation over a brand new 3,000-capacity stand on the Broadway side of Boundary Park should happen in the next few weeks.
Mr Corney says the three-story construction is crucial to the club stemming crippling losses.
"There are a few issues to be sorted out yet. We are still taking with the Council,” he explained, “but it is what the club needs."
The plan is for the stand to incorporate a gym, a conference facility and office and retail units. There is also built-in scope for expanding the number of seats if required.
YORK City are hunting a fourth straight pre-season victory when facing Athletic at Bootham Crescent tomorrow (3pm kick-off).
Athletic, who flew back into the country yesterday after their Portugal training camp, have played two matches so far, beating Mossley 3-0 and losing 3-1 to Rotherham.
