The City kit boss and former Latics star writes very week for Chron Sport
MANCHESTER City flew out for the Asian tour in high spirits, just days after an enjoyable and productive trip to Austria.
The players got some vital time on the pitch in three friendlies and trained together, while Vincent Kompany overcame a minor hamstring strain and swiftly returned to action.
I think the fact we stayed in one location throughout the tour was a massive help to everyone, especially with a couple of training sessions per day.
After returning to Manchester it was extremely busy in the kit department, getting all the gear ready for Asia.
Some of the kit left a day before we did, and it was all go as we rushed around, making final preparations.
Most of the lads involved in Euro 2012 have returned to training, but did not join us in Asia. Instead they will train at the club and take part in some of the upcoming friendlies in England. such as the one against Latics
I am sad to be missing our trip to Boundary Park on Tuesday, as I always enjoy going back to my former club.
I hope it is an enjoyable evening for all.
Latics are on the doorstep, so hopefully there will be a good turn-out for the game.
