PAUL DICKOV: Fans trust his judgment
ATHLETIC manager Paul Dickov is keeping the support of the majority of the club’s supporters — despite a difficult start to the season.
In a poll among fans, 54-per-cent wanted the Scot to stay in charge as Athletic try to dig their way out of a lean run.
Fans hope fortunes will start to turn against struggling Coventry City at Boundary Park on Saturday.
Athletic are without a home win so far, but Coventry are sitting in the relegation zone.
The visitors have a new manager, Mark Robins, for whom a win will draw his team level on points with the home side.
Dickov has already said Jose Baxter may get his first start for the club against Coventry as the search for goals goes on. Athletic are currently the joint lowest scorers in the division.
After Coventry, Athletic travel to 15th-placed Crewe a week today, and follow that game with a home clash against Preston on October 6.
