Youssouf Mchangama played one half of the reserves’ defeat at home to Chesterfield.
JOSE Baxter and Youssouf Mchangama both successfully came through a reserves run-out yesterday and will be in contention for the visit of Coventry on Saturday.
The pair featured in the 1-0 home Central League loss to Chesterfield at Chapel Road, playing the opening 45 minutes before being withdrawn.
James Tarkowski conceded possession near halfway with a sloppy pass which was intercepted by the Spireites and Jacob Hazel went on to score the only goal.
Mchangama is likely to again be on the substitutes’ bench for the visit of the Sky Blues this weekend, but Baxter may start as Athletic seek to record a first home npower League One victory of the season.
That could possibly mean he lines up in place of James Wesolowski, who played twice in five days last week after spending most of the season so far on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
Coventry are away to Premier League giants Arsenal tonight in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup (7.45pm kick-off).
