That’s the way to do it, Latics

PAUL Dickov's spying mission last night will have given a few clues on how to breach the Coventry defence at the weekend.

The Sky Blues were defeated 6-1 at Arsenal in the third round of the Capital One Cup in new manager Mark Robins' second game in charge.

While Dickov's task is to exploit holes in the visitors' defence at Boundary Park on Saturday, Robins will have to quickly address a lack of energy among his men.

Robbie Simpson is one player Dickov will look to for goals as Athletic aim to secure a first home victory.

"We would certainly like to go a goal ahead, to have something to hold on to, rather than find ourselves behind," said Simpson.

"We are playing some good football at times. So perhaps we just need that break."
