Croft is fans’ target

WING COMMANDER: Lee Croft displays his skills on the flank.
LEE Croft may have to grow a thick skin to deal with abuse from the terraces, his manager Paul Dickov has indicated.
Athletic's on-loan winger was subjected to a sustained series chants from the home end at Kidderminster branding him a "racist" — despite being cleared of such abuse by police following an incident with a ball boy at Sheffield United.
Croft was booked late in the game after a set-to with a Harriers player and then substituted with Dickov citing a slight knock to his foot.
“It is unfortunate that he is going to get that," said Dickov of the chanting towards the end of the FA Cup tie.
“The thing is, if Crofty turns round and reacts and says anything then he is the one who gets in trouble when there are probably a few hundred giving him abuse.
“But it will toughen him up.”
