DAVID Mellor and Kirk Millar could be back in Athletic’s squad to travel to Bournemouth.
The duo have spent the past month on loan, getting game-time at Chorley in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division.
That initial spell, under the supervision of manager Paul Dickov’s former team-mate and Magpies boss Garry Flitcroft, has now drawn to a close.
Athletic’s first-team squad is two men light for the visit to Bournemouth this weekend due to suspensions to midfield men Dean Furman and James Wesolowski.
With a further test at Hartlepool on Tuesday, November 20, Dickov may opt to recall the pair as reinforcements, as opposed to extending the loan arrangement.
o ARRANGEMENTS for Athletic’s FA Cup second-round tie at home to Doncaster have been finalised.
The game takes place on Saturday, December 1 (3pm kick-off), with normal league admission prices applying for the match.
