Stand firm, says Dickov

RESILIENCE is the key word for Athletic tomorrow night in the first instalment of the upcoming Doncaster double-header.
Dean Saunders’ in-form side will go level on points with Tranmere at the top of npower League One by seeing off Athletic at the Keepmoat Stadium.
But after defeating Shrewsbury, securing a second successive win thanks to Jonathan Grounds’ goal, Paul Dickov’s men go into the clash with a reserve of confidence gained from a pair of hard-fought victories inside a week.
Talisman Jose Baxter returns after suspension as Athletic hunt a third success in a row, against opponents who will also visit Boundary Park on Saturday in the second round of the FA Cup.
“Tuesday night is the most important game, because it is the next one,” said Dickov, who is up against a club who have won nine of their last 12 fixtures.
“They are on a really good run at the moment, so we have to go there and show the resilience we have in the last two games.”
