Cristian Montano: out for long period

CRISTIAN Montano has been ruled out of action for at least two months.

Athletic's left winger had a scan on the thigh injury he sustained during the 2-2 draw at Scunthorpe and it has shown a grade two tear.

The news is a huge blow for the 21-year-old and Athletic, leaving the squad with no recognised wide player on the left.

Montano, who has scored two goals in his 28 appearances for the club following his signing from West Ham, said in Spanish on Twitter: "A little sad about the result, not expecting to be so long sidelined."
