Latics to receive windfall after ITV pick glamour tie
PRIZED tickets for the huge Liverpool FA Cup clash went on sale this morning.

The fourth-round tie has been confirmed for Sunday, January 27 at 4pm.

And it will be shown live on ITV1 — which has landed cash-strapped Latics an unexpected £135,850 broadcast fee.

The Boundary Park tie pits manager Paul Dickov's heroes — who beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 at the City Ground on Saturday — against Brendan Rodgers' Premier League giants.

Athletic's season ticket holders were able to claim their seats for the game as the club opened for business this morning.

Only ONE ticket is available per season-ticket holder, and they have until 7pm on Saturday to claim their place.

Special vouchers will be handed out to fans at the turnstiles at the Brentford home game on Saturday. Supporters can then use these to claim one ticket each on Sunday and Monday.

All remaining tickets for the game will go on general sale from 9am next Tuesday.

Liverpool have been allocated the large section of the Rochdale Road Stand; Athletic fans the small section.

Ticket prices are £25 for adults (£20 concessions - over-65s, under-16s, students with a valid Athletic membership card and walking disabled).

The price hike has upset some fans, but Athletic is maximising revenue from the club's biggest home tie since the club played Manchester City in 2005.
