ATHLETIC reported a steady flow of business as the first batch of Liverpool tickets went on sale.
Season ticket holders at Boundary Park were able to buy their seats for the big FA Cup fourth-round clash, which takes place on Sunday, January 27, with a 4pm kick-off. The game is being shown live on ITV1.
They have until Saturday evening to claim their place, with the next two days of sales devoted to voucher holders.
Vouchers will be handed out to fans on the turnstiles at the Brentford match at Boundary Park on Saturday.
The club anticipates the real rush will take place when tickets go on open sale from 9am on January 15.
Athletic have been criticised in some quarters for charging £20 for concessionary tickets for the Liverpool game.
The club says it faces higher costs for policing and stewarding.
