Simpson: Reds in for a shock

ROBBIE Simpson hopes the shock factor of playing at Boundary Park on Sunday will have just the right effect on Liverpool.
Sunday’s FA Cup tie will be played at a stadium far removed from the comfort of Anfield — and Athletic striker Simpson is keen to see how the Liverpool stars react.
“I can’t wait to see their faces when they open the dressing room door,” he said.
“It’s not the nicest away dressing room, and obviously we have only three stands. I am not sure they will ever have experienced a game in these conditions.”
In the same fixture - at Anfield - last season Simpson caused a sensation with his brilliant strike which gave Athletic the lead. But ultimately Liverpool won 5-1.
Simpson said: “I have some great memories from last year. We were the better side for at least the first half. They scored two late goals and the scoreline flattered them.
“They are going to have to have a bit of an off-day on Sunday and we are going to have to have an exceptionally good day if we are to progress, but that’s what the FA Cup is all about.”
