MATT Smith's second Chronicle Star Man award in the space of five days has lifted the striker to joint-top in the overall table.
The 23 year old heads the list alongside Jose Baxter thanks to being the stand-out performer in the 1-0 loss at Notts County and the 3-2 win against Liverpool.
The overall season winner will net a charity cheque for £600 courtesy of Indish Bar, Restaurant and Grill.
Behind the forward duo are Lee Croft and Jean-Yves Mvoto. Thirteen players have so far picked up a Star Man award.
Last season's overall winner was Robbie Simpson, who donated his cheque to Macmillan Cancer Support.
ATHLETIC supporters can vote for Matt Smith as the FA Cup player of the round.
Five men have been selected by a panel for the title, including Smith, whose two goals helped dump Liverpool out of the competition. The others are: Sam Byram (Leeds), John Marquis (Millwall), Ross McCormack (Leeds) and Scott Rendell (Luton). Visit www.thefa.com to cast your vote.
