DEAN Furman says Athletic must show no fear as they bid to beat the drop.
CAPTAIN Dean Furman says Athletic have it well within their power to climb away from danger by beating allcomers in the league.
Three straight league wins coincided with Furman’s return from internationl football.
The midfield man knows similar form will need to be carried on through the remaining nine weeks.
The visit of Sheffield United to Boundary Park on Saturday provides caretaker manager Tony Philliskirk with his stiffest task in the league since stepping into the hot-seat.
But for Furman, even the vaunted Blades can be overcome if Athletic can maintain form.
“I know we have a big fight on our hands,” said Furman, who is out of contract in the summer.
“Over the last few weeks, the boys have all mucked in to help a difficult situation.
“We are looking forward to Saturday already.
“We can beat anyone in our division. We lost at Everton, but we can take great confidence from the run.”
