Ask my mum who she wants to win!

LEE Johnson has described as a "side-show" the prospect of pitting wits against his father when Yeovil visit Boundary Park on Tuesday, April 16.

Gary Johnson's side lost in midweek at home to Swindon while his son enjoyed a winning start against Hartlepool.

But come that date in April, the Glovers may still have a play-off chance, while Athletic could need to take points to help avoid relegation.

Never before in the domestic game have dad-and-lad gone up against each other as managers.

As far as Lee is concerned, ultimately the Yeovil game boils down to being worth no more than three points.

As for the family issue? Ask his mother.

"Me and my old man are so competitive, we could have a row over a game of tiddlywinks," said Johnson junior. “It will be fun and it's great for the media.

But more importantly, there are three points to be had.

"All else is a side-show. It won't knock me or him off our tracks.

"It's my mum that is more worried. What does she want, her husband to get promoted or her son to get out of relegation? She’s probably the one to interview."
