COREY Smith excelled on his first showing in Athletic's midfield.
The on-loan Norwich player was an assured presence alongside James Wesolowski.
"When talking with Simon Corney, I recommended signing Korey," said manager Lee Johnson of Smith's arrival on a month-long loan last week.
"I know him as a player. He is good on the ball and has won League One and done well in the Championship.
"He's a good, busy player to have. He went to Yeovil and did well and I saw him there five or six times.
"He is an enthusiastic character who I think the fans will like. He will do well."
