Bobby has what it takes

Bobby Reid.
BOBBY Reid is straight into the first-team equation as Athletic prepare for the difficult trip to the County Ground tomorrow.
The diminutive, quick midfield man, on youth loan to Athletic until the end of the season, showed glimpses of his potential in the midweek reserves draw against Hull in which the 20-year-old played for an hour before being substituted.
Reid operated in the ‘Baxter’ role – just behind the main striker – as the second-string emulated manager Lee Johnson’s first-team formation.
He may have to wait his chance to land a starting role, but Johnson believes the Bristol City man has the ability to be a hit if he can smooth off some rough edges.
“Bobby’s movement was good,” said Johnson, who knows the youngster from their time together at Ashton Gate.
“On a poor pitch, he has to be careful not to get ‘flicky’. He sometimes does that and looks 14.
“Whereas when he is passing and moving he looks 21 and brilliant. But he produced some good deliveries.
“Bobby can play anywhere across the five (in midfield). He has very good lines in his running and flies through the air.
