CHRIS Taylor can’t wait to showcase his talents at Wembley Stadium tomorrow when Millwall hope to beat Wigan in the FA Cup semi-final.

Oldham lad Taylor, who took a free-transfer from Latics to Championship sied Milwall last summer, is sure to feature in the game.

But while he might be playing in the capital these days, Taylor won’t be short of local support for the game.

“I’ve had to book 35-40 tickets for my family and friends from Oldham,” he said.

“It’s going to be a great turnout and I’m delighted so many of my folks will be there.

“I know they’re all proud of me. They’re over the moon to get this chance to go to Wembley, and I’ve been grateful for the support.”

It has turned into a great move south for 26-year-old Taylor who has now featured 20 times this season for the Lions and scored three times.

“I definitely made a good decision, to come to Millwall,” said Taylor. “I’ve settled into life here just fine. The manager has looked after me and understands how difficult it can be.

Taylor still follows Athletic’s every move and has faith in rookie boss Lee Johnson.

“Latics aren’t in a good position but at least the situation is still very much in their hands.

“The new manager has definitely had a positive effect. I’m confident they’ll survive and can start afresh in the summer.”
