Croft and Mvoto share Star Man award

LEE Croft and Jean-Yves Mvoto remained deadlocked at the top of the pile in the Chronicle Star Man stakes - meaning the duo will split the £600 charity cheque donated by Indish Bar, Restaurant and Grill.
Croft, who missed one game all season, became a fan favourite during his second spell at the club which featured a series of all-action performances and a stream of assists.
His form peaked during the FA Cup run. After shedding a few pounds Croft was outstanding as Athletic earned a replay with Everton at Goodison Park after a memorable victory over Liverpool.
Goals eluded him, but his hard-running style more than made up for that.
Paris-born defender Mvoto was a powerful presence at the heart of defence; in the latter half of the season few outperformed him.
The 24 year old has made quite a journey since his arrival at the club on loan from Sunderland. On an extremely shaky debut at Scunthorpe in August 2010, Mvoto looked anything but the assured performer he has become.
Mvoto’s career-best goal tally of five this season has benefited the team considerably.
Both men were named man of the match eight times during the season.
