LEE Johnson has got his Wembley ticket booked - and can’t wait to roar on dad Gary in the npower League One play-off final on Sunday (1.30pm).
The Athletic manager’s father is the boss of Yeovil Town and thanks to the Glovers’ 2-1 aggregate win against Sheffield United in the semi-finals, a promotion shoot-out now beckons against Uwe Rosler’s Brentford.
Johnson jnr said: “I’ll be there, 100 per cent, giving my dad plenty of backing at Wembley.
“I’ve got my ticket and I’m really looking forward to it.
“In fact there’s quite a big Johnson clan heading to the game and every single one of us will give dad huge support. Yeovil are a former club of mine, too. It’s a place I hold very close to my heart.”
The Athletic boss added: “We are all just hoping to complete the perfect scenario, I suppose.
“Don’t forget, before the game recently when we played Yeovil at Boundary Park, we hoped for an Oldham win that night and then for dad to go on and win the play-offs at Wembley.
“We did beat them 1-0 so, hopefully, the second half of the dream will be fulfilled.”
Johnson jnr attended the semi-final first-leg at Bramall Lane when the Blades won 1-0, but was unable to make the 2-0 victory at Huish Park, handed to the Glovers by goals from Kevin Dawson and Ed Upson.
Johnson snr is currently in his second spell as Yeovil boss. He previously led the Glovers to promotion in 2003 and 2005.
