Lee’s on his way

LEE Croft is to leave Athletic, after a deadline set by the club to accept a new contract offer expired.
The Chronicle’s joint player of the season, who made 53 appearances out of a possible 54 on the right flank in 2012-13, will move onto pastures new once his current deal expires at the end of June.
“I offered Lee a new contract and gave him a deadline which has now passed,” said Athletic manager Lee Johnson.
“As he has not replied, I expect him to sign for someone else and wish him all the best.
I am hopeful of bringing in somebody of the same quality or even better.”
