Connor Brown . . . the full-back is expected to return in around six to eight weeks.
ATHLETIC defender Connor Brown underwent successful surgery yesterday and should be back playing again inside two months.
Right-back Brown (21), had started the season well until he suffered a knee injury during the home Sky Bet League One victory against Port Vale.
Athletic boss Lee Johnson said: “Connor’s operation went well and at the end of it we’re told it’s been the best-case scenario.
“There was a worry that there had been more serious cruciate damage, but thankfully it wasn’t as bad as we’d feared.
“He should soon be up and about and in the gym, and hopefully we’ll have him back ready again in around six to eight weeks time.
“It’s been an unfortunate one for Connor because he had started the season really well.”
Meanwhile, new signing Genseric Kusunga’s international clearance came through yesterday so the Swiss defender will be available for Monday’s trip to Preston.
