Byrne set for Scunthorpe loan
Date published: 12 September 2013
CLIFF Byrne was expected to tie up a loan back to his old club Scunthorpe United today.
The defender (31) has featured only three times this season, all from the subs’ bench.
With manager Lee Johnson recently bringing in Genseric Kusunga and Matteo Lanzoni, Byrne’s chances of a first-team breakthrough have been reduced further.
Dublin-born Byrne spent a decade at Glanford Park prior to his move to Athletic last summer.
