ATHLETIC have officially announced the hand-over of control for the construction of the new North Stand to Holroy Developments of Chadderton.
Chairman Simon Corney took to the Boundary Park pitch at half-time yesterday to shake hands on the deal with Holroy’s Paul Whitehead.
The new £6million structure, which is to replace the old Lookers Stand, is set to feature executive boxes, a supporters’ bar, corporate facilities and 500-capacity function room.
“I will be proud when the new North Stand is finished as there is still a lot of hard work to do,” Corney stated in the Bradford match programme. “By the end of January or early February, we ought to have a good idea as to the shape as the frame ought to be up.
“There is a long way to go as we still have to attract tenants and also find some money.”
