Smith’s stunner on award shortlist

KOREY Smith is on a six-strong short list for the best goal of the second round of the FA Cup.

The superb solo strike by Athletic's captain in the original Mansfield tie at Boundary Park has put him up for the prize alongside Kevin Davies (Preston), Britt Assombalonga (Peterborough), Carl Baker (Coventry), Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (Bristol City) and Joe Clarke (Wrexham).
