Johnson’s new boys look familiar

LEE Johnson stuck to what he knows by bringing in TWO former team-mates on deadline day.
Wales international centre-back James Wilson arrived on a deal running to the end of the season, with the option for an extension, and striker Jon Stead joined on loan from Huddersfield Town for an initial month.
Both are ex-Bristol City colleagues of the Athletic boss.
Deadline day movement: Players in: John Paul Kissock (Macclesfield, loan); Rhys Turner (Stockport, undisclosed), James Wilson (free agent), Jon Stead (Huddersfield, loan).
Players out: James Tarkowski (Brentford), Edijs Joksts (released), Luke Simpson (Leicester City, loan).
