JOHN Paul Kissock got a run-out for Athletic’s reserves side today, in the home Manchester FA Senior Cup tie against Rochdale at Chapel Road (1pm kick-off).
The on-loan Macclesfield midfielder made his Athletic debut in the final stages at Swindon.
CLIFF Byrne has signed a one-year deal with Derry City.
Byrne (31), who was released by Athletic last month, was reported to have attracted interest from Carlisle but has decided to link up with the Candystripes.
“Cliff is an unbelievable addition – he’s like a manager on the pitch,” said Derry boss Roddy Collins.
