Grounds close to landmark
Date published: 14 February 2014
JONATHAN Grounds is next in line to reach the 100-game mark for Athletic, after James Wesolowski hit the milestone against Bristol City.
Grounds, who has only missed one game this term through suspension, is currently on 91 appearances in league and cup competitions.
Wesolowski is Athletic’s third-longest serving player, after Kirk Millar — the sole link to the managerial reign of Dave Penney, who gave him a debut at 17 — and Carl Winchester.
