TOMMY Wright’s impact provided a useful fresh perspective for Athletic as they ground out an important victory.
The returning assistant manager was a vocal presence in the technical area against Gillingham and boss Lee Johnson was pleased with his contributions.
“He came in for a couple of days’ training and it is always good to get a different voice,” Johnson said.
“Quite a few of the lads knew him already, which was good, and he gives a different opinion as well.
“Sometimes when you are in it, you can’t see the woods for the trees and he has come up with a couple of good points.”
