Johnson’s delight at team’s reaction

LEE Johnson was clearly pleased with the response from his Athletic players following Saturday's end-to-end 2-2 draw at Tranmere.
It had been a miserable midweek courtesy of the limp home defeat against MK Dons, but a cracker from James Wesolowski and then a Liam Ridehalgh own goal looked to be sending the visitors towards away-day joy at Prenton Park –- a notoriously difficult place at which to triumph.
The visitors were pegged back late on by deadly Ryan Lowe's 18th goal of the season for Rovers, but Johnson appeared content when reflecting on an entertaining game.
The Athletic boss said: "We played some really good stuff. I thought we were threatening on the break, and mobile up front. We were unlucky not to come away with the win.
"We were always in the game, and probably should have created more chances than we actually did.”
Johnson saluted the almost 800-strong travelling army at Prenton Park.
