STRIKER Jon Stead has returned to Championship side Huddersfield Town after a month on loan at Athletic, with manager Lee Johnson not ruling out a future return for the big target man.
Stead, who joined on transfer deadline day, appeared in five games for Athletic, but didn’t manage to score a goal.
Athletic boss Johnson said: “I enjoyed working with Jon and would not rule out doing so again in the future.”
Thirty-year-old Stead has now played for nine different clubs during his long career.
