SHOULD Athletic switch the traditionally noisiest home support from the Chaddy End to the Rochdale Road End of Boundary Park?
That’s the debate currently being waged in the stands after Latics boss Lee Johnson hinted last weekend he and his players would appreciate a more raucous atmosphere at home.
Johnson has asked for opinions on his Twitter, while the main supporters’ forum has opened a poll.
And so far most fans would favour a switch to the bigger Rochdale Road End.
Athletic winger David Worrall certainly appreciated the fans’ support at Prenton Park for the away game with Tranmere.
“The fans gave us brilliant backing throughout the game,” he said. “I never thought almost 800 would travel there, but I loved it and the rest of the lads really appreciated it.”
