Danny can be a major threat - Johnson

KEY PLAYER: Danny Philliskirk gave a man-of-the-match display in Saturday’s 2-0 win at Doncaster.
DANNY Philliskirk’s positive attitude has drawn praise from his manager Lee Johnson - who hopes he score plenty of goals.
With centre-forward Jonson Clarke-Harris having left the club on the final day of the transfer market window, Philliskirk is in line for an advanced role in tonight’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy first-round home tie against Bradford.
Philliskirk earned the penalty that Jonathan Forte converted for Athletic’s crucial second goal in Saturday’s win at Doncaster.
“Danny is a threat when he gets going, and I want this edge off him,” said Johnson.
“That will take him to that next level - and it’s the difference between being a 20-goal striker or one who scores six or seven.”
