Johnson short-listed for award

ATHLETIC boss Lee Johnson has been nominated for September’s Sky Bet League One manager of the month award.

Also short-listed for the gong are Bristol City’s Steve Cotterill, Rochdale’s Keith Hill and Swindon’s Mark Cooper.

Athletic remained unbeaten throughout last month, securing wins against Fleetwood and Scunthorpe in the league, along with three draws.

They also opened September with a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy victory over Bradford City.

The winner will be announced later this week.
