Players battled on despite bug – Johnson

OH YES: boss Lee Johnson celebrates at the final whistle after his Athletic side held on for a 2-1 win.
LEE Johnson was proud of his Athletic players as they came from behind to see off Walsall.
Athletic are now unbeaten in 10 games. After watching Conor Wilkinson and Mike Jones hand his side a crucial 2-1 victory, Johnson said: "I was pleased with all the players because Walsall are a really good side.
"They are very difficult to break down and then they went and got their noses in front. But we stayed patient and managed to score two of our own.
"There were some tired boys out there too, though. We've had a bug going round and everybody has been a bit under the weather. I think it shows an awful lot of character for our lads to come from behind to get the win.”
